Back dimples, also known as Dimples of Venus or butt dimples, are visible indentations sometimes visible on the human lower back. It is thought that back dimples are a genetically determined trait. They are also rather rare!Perhaps the most famous celebrity back dimples belong to Cote de Pablo - of NCIS fame.
Cote de Pablo (born November 12, 1979), is a Chilean-born American stage and TV actress and recording artist. She is best known for her role as Ziva David in the CBS television series NCIS, for which she has won an ALMA Award. Now! I know that there are more back dimples out there! Some of you have told me so!
@Aloysius_son supposedly has back dimples as well - and there are others!

@Donkey_Guy_10 - I do. And I brought up this post in a conversation with my husband today. Mine are the first he's seen, too. So I guess it isn't as common as I thought. I thought it was common because, well, I have them, and because when I was in college, we were taught to look for them as medical landmarks for the Sacro-Iliac joints (I worked in Radiology). I'm thinking about taking a pic. Thinking about it. Might have to get the hubs to take it for me though. Getting a pic of ... that side of you ... is pretty challenging by yourself.
@Donkey_Guy_10 - I honestly thought this post was a joke post or something. I have never heard that term before. I see from some of the comments here that they are fairly common. Oh well. Now I know.

@PrincessPowers - It is interesting how some people have heard of them and some have not! It was very difficult for me to find 4 celebrities that have back dimples - and you know there are LOTS of pictures of celebrity backs on the internet.
