I have seen a lot of people complaining recently that Dan has been deleting their comments!If wonder what fun he is up to this time!

Don't you dare delete spazmom's comments. They are funny. Besides I like the picture of the cat. I counted her comments (14) so I will know if you do delete some. I only delete comments where people I don't know try to sell things like watches on my site. I do not provide free advertising.

I suppose I would only delete a comment if it really enflames people for months on end. A week long rant? I don't mind. 2 months is too much. Also, I suppose I would delete a comment if it caused riots in the middle east and threatened western consulates. But, then again, what doesn't do that these days?

Theo deletes comments I think cause he only wants one answer per question. I know I answered someone else's comment, Dory The Fish, perfectly harmless I thought, and it was deleted.
Certainly some people leave a lot of comments in a post though I'm not sure why. Φ ≡

I don't think I've ever said anything worth deleting. Does Xanga notify you if someone deletes a comment? I've discovered you don't get notification of being blocked (until you try visiting the page)... if it was "guest" or the person she keeps fighting with, I'm good with not having to read their (back-and-forth) crap.
I think he deleted one of mine a long time ago when I was trying to get first ,second and third in his comments. I got first and third. wasn't fast enough to get all three.
I have only deleted comments when they were offensive or spam. I rarely comment on Dan's posts mostly because I try to avoid controversy. It is his prerogative to delete comments on his posts...

If you want to know why Dan is doing something on his blog, why don't you just ask him? He's a nice guy and will surely answer you. Then again, he doesn't have to since he can do what he wants on his blog.
