Bridge Over Troubled Water
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkel
The song introduced the decade of the 1970's. After the 1960's with the introduction of the Laser, the Viet Nam War, the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK - the introduction of the Pill and the mini-skirt, and the Rolling Stones and the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix - the Age of Aquarius - it was time for a change.
When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them allI'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me downWhen you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort youI'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me downSail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

Nice
I have been thinking about song to do with the current situation of Xanga, part 4 is due to soon.
I started on a new bridge across the creek today at camp. Actually I started thinking about building a new bridge across the creek at camp. That's as far as I got.
Such a sweet donkey you are!
Love the Age of Aquarius....hey...when is that anyway?
Sail on... sail on!!!
thanks I started singing the song and now my basset is howling
are you going to Xanga 2 with us and "the others"?
@Texasjillcarmel - If it makes it I will be there! I have already contributed multiple accounts and may more!
Simon & Garfunkel were true craftsmen, meticulous in their performances. My sister bought this album in the summer of 1971 on our way back to Colombia and it has been one of my favorites ever since.
@dreadpirate - The Age of Aquarius
@Roadkill_Spatula - Yes! One of the lasting pieces of music that transcends time...
