Dead Turkey Joke of the Day
A priest and a nun are on their way back home from a trip when their car breaks down. They are unable to get it fixed, so they decide to spend the night in a hotel. The only hotel in the town has only one room available.
Priest: Sister, I don't think the Lord would have a problem, under the circumstances, if we spent the night together in this one room. I'll sleep on the lounge and you have the bed.
Nun: I think that would be okay.
They prepare for bed and each one takes their agreed place in the room. Ten minutes later...
Nun: Father, I'm terribly cold.
Priest: Okay, I'll get you a blanket. (He does)
Ten minutes later...
Nun: Father, I'm still terribly cold.
Priest: Okay Sister, I'll get you another blanket. (He does)
Ten minutes later...
Nun: Father, I'm still terribly cold. I don't think the Lord would mind if we acted as man and wife just for this one night.
Priest: You're probably right...get up and get your own blanket. |

oh am i EVER missing someone today.
i'm first... and number one... but it doesnt make the missing any easier... i hate when someone says sorry for your loss... Kathy is not lost... i did not lose her... she is here, in my heart... but i miss her still...
i need chocolate.
At nine years old that seems to mean a lot, I kinda remember the death of my grandparents too.
Maybe your cat, had a lot to say since it had you to listen to it....

I miss my granny and my cat, too.
once my husband moved his hand in bed up one side of my body and down the other and I said,"why did you stop?" he said,"found the remote."
Being the oldest child of parents who married young, i was blessed to know all my grandparents and 3 of my great grand parents, as well as numerous older aunts and uncles... but the blessing has a sad side too, as I lost many of my beloved grannies and aunties while still young... it does change you, the world doesn't seem so rosy any more... I still miss my nanas who taught me to sew and crochet and be crafty and thrifty in general!
one thing too is that you never "get over" the loss...you "get through" it...and in our hearts our loved ones are still with us...and a song keeps going through my head this morning...love is the answer...hugs to you my freind...smile

I remember I was 14 when my Grandfather died. He was a quiet man. I knew he had a brother, but I had never met him. On the day that we buried him, right before they closed the coffin, I was saying goodbye, and then I turned around, and this man was approaching. He looked just like my Grandfather! I gasped real loud. The only thing different was that he had blue eyes and he was a little shorter. And he was alive. It was the only time I had ever seen him.
His brother is dead now too, but he was also a WWII veteran, who was MIA for a bit during the war.
my mom and dad died my mom 5 years go and dad 2 years a go
Yes. It's hard to miss someone. It's like there is a "them-shaped" hole in your heart.
